Who Am I?
Hey there! I’m Sajal Bansal, a bit of a professional wanderer and an amateur philosopher with a penchant for overthinking everything. Since I was young, I’ve been obsessed with peeling back the layers of different ideas and methods, kind of like how you’d unravel a particularly tricky puzzle. This quirky habit might have made me an “interesting” friend during those early years (and by “interesting,” I mean “a bit oddball”), but I’m proud to say that those same friends would probably still describe me as delightfully quirky today!
I’ve already called three countries home and have managed to accumulate not one, but two degrees in finance along the way. If you ask me, I’m more of a philosopher in training, continuously curious about life’s biggest questions—and, of course, how to apply distribution theory to them.
What Is My Primary Mode of Thinking?
Let’s talk navigation—but not the Google Maps kind. Imagine you’re a sailor, and life is this vast, unpredictable ocean. “Navigation” in this sense means figuring out where you are, where you want to go, and how to get there, despite the waves and storms of uncertainty. Now, think of yourself as the ship, with your goals and dreams as distant shores you’re trying to reach. The ocean? That’s the uncertainty of life, constantly shifting and challenging your course. But here’s the kicker: there’s also this ever-present force called Potential, which drives you forward, helping you find your way from one “island” of value to another.
Now, I’m not saying this is the only way to navigate life’s turbulent seas. It’s just the approach that’s worked for me so far. It’s like my trusty old compass—rooted in first principles and distributional theory—but I’m always open to refining it as I go. After all, what’s an exploration without a bit of fine-tuning?
What Does This Website Aim to Accomplish?
This website is my little corner of the internet where I map out an exploratory framework of Potential. Think of Potential as this mysterious but powerful force pushing each of us toward higher, more meaningful goals, even when the path is unclear. I believe that this Potential isn’t just some vague idea—it’s like a hidden treasure chest with infinite possibilities inside, just waiting to be discovered. The site is basically my ongoing experiment, where I tinker with these concepts and share my findings with you. Who knows? Maybe we’ll uncover some surprising truths along the way.
How Does This Website Aim to Accomplish This?
Every couple of weeks, I dive into a new philosophical idea about the forward movement of Being—yep, I’m keeping it abstract, but with a twist. I also love to sprinkle in some real math and statistics to ground these ideas (because who doesn’t enjoy a good mathematical model now and then?). It’s partly a way for me to test my thoughts, partly a way to learn more math, and partly just for the sheer fun of it. And hey, if you’re the kind of person who likes to dig into the numbers yourself, all my code scripts are available on GitHub.
